Tis the Season!

Tis the season for Christmas card ordering! I'm now taking orders for Christmas cards. I'll be posting some samples that will be available soon, so check back.

Adalyn Paige has arrived!

Congratulations Darla! Adalyn is beautiful! Adalyn Paige arrived August 26th. She weighed 7.5 lbs and was 17 inches long. I can't wait to meet her and design her birth announcements. Send me some pics and I'll get started! Look for that post coming soon...

Roses are red, violets are blue, Lilly is turning two!

I recently designed a birthday invitation for a very cute two year old, Lilly! Her mother loved the thank you cards that I did for my friend Darla and wanted her daughter's invites to look similar. Mission accomplished!

It was a pleasure working with you. Happy Birthday Lilly! Call me when you turn three!

Love is in the air!

My friend Shannon is getting married to a classmate of mine in October. When I found out they were getting married I offered my services as a gift to them. Their colors are ivory and brown, gorgeous! When I asked her what she wanted, all she said was something with twigs.
Both of them loved the end result.
Here is what I came up with. I'm currently working on their programs.

Going the chapel and we're gonna get married....

Recently I had the pleasure of designing wedding favors. When I was getting married I never thought of using the color black. After doing the following creations, I kinda wish I had! If you're planning on taking that leap, let me know how I can help.

The bride asked for a damask look to everything and that it be consistent. I created menus, place cards, tags for the gifts for their guest, thank you cards and as a thank to them for using me, I created matching cards with the newlyweds name on them.

Instead of boring table numbers that you see in frames, we opted for candles and lanterns. I hand-cut the numbers out of the paper. I had a hard time trying to figure out how to keep them on the candle, when it hit me...tack em! I used upholstery tacks which, I think, look like a buttoned up suit or vest. I was pleased with the end result, as was the bride!
All of the even numbered tables were candles, while the odd numbers were lanterns.
